Day 1 - Arrive Berlin and Wittenberg
Upon our early morning arrival in Berlin, our Terra Lu Travel Tour Director will greet and escort us to our waiting deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach. On the way to our hotel we'll take a scenic drive through Berlin. Our sightseeing tour highlights the three centers of Berlin; the west around Kurfuerstendamm Blvd and Memorial Church, the new center around Potsdamer Square and the east around Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. Afterwards we continue on for a short drive to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, home to the most historic sights of Luther's life and work. Tonight we'll attend the weekly service of the Wittenberg English Ministry in one of the historic churches where Luther himself preached and afterwards we're invited to a special welcome dinner and orientation. Day 3 Eisleben, Erfurt
This morning, we'll travel to Lutherstadt Eisleben. We'll stop at Mansfeld where Luther's parents were born and where Luther lived as a youth. Upon arrival in Eisleben, we'll begin our visit with a city tour including the houses where Luther was born in 1483, and where he died in 1546. Other points of interest in Eisleben are St. Peter's Church where Luther was baptized, St. Andrews Church where Luther preached his last four sermons, and where his body was laid in state. We'll travel to the city of Erfurt where Luther took the decisive step to turn to theology and the monastic life when he was caught in a violent thunderstorm nearby and took a vow to become a monk. We'll join a local guide for a walking city tour including St. Mary's Cathedral where Luther was ordained as a priest, the Augustinian Monastery where Luther lived as a monk and the Medieval Kramer Bridge on which 33 dwellings are built. We will have time to enjoy the lovely restored market place and enjoy dinner on our own at one of the local restaurants. Overnight Erfurt

Day 4 Eisenach, Wartburg castle, Rhine Region
This morning we'll drive to nearby Eisenach for a guided tour of the magnificent Wartburg Castle, where Luther took refuge while he translated the New Testament into the German language. It was here that Luther obtained a degree in 1502 and a doctorate in the faculty of philosophy in 1505. We'll have time to see the Bach Museum and enjoy a musical performance on historical instruments. Afterwards our journey continues on to the charming wine village of Rudesheim, which dates back to before the Roman era. Tonight our group will meet for dinner. Overnight Rudesheim

Day 5 Rhine River Cruise
Today we'll enjoy a sightseeing tour and cruise along the Rhine River, one of the most picturesque stretches of this majestic waterway. We'll board the boat at St Goar & sail past magnificent castles and the famous Loreley rock. This afternoon is free to explore this quaint town, shop, sightsee and have dinner on our own. Day 6 Worms Wine region
After breakfast we travel to Worms, the site where Luther was summoned to either renounce or reaffirm his Protestant views at the Diet of Worms April 17, 1521, as Luther replied, "… Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen." We'll have a brief walking tour to view the site of the Worms debates, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Reformation monument. Our group will have this evening free to enjoy dinner on our own or with some of our new friends in one of the restaurants or cafes in town. Overnight Rhine Region / optional: Heidelberg
